Long Strategy Sessions Without Draining Your Phone

Strategy games can be quiet battery vampires. Lots of little animations and a screen that never sleeps add up. If you play on the go, a few tweaks make a real difference.

Start with frame rate and effects settings, if the game exposes them. Dropping fancy particle effects rarely hurts a tower defence game and buys you a lot of playtime. Lowering brightness helps more than people expect.

Turn off background audio if the soundtrack loops anyway, and close the game fully between sessions rather than leaving it idling. Many strategy titles keep simulating even when you tab away.

None of this is glamorous, but it's the difference between finishing a long campaign on a train and watching your phone die at the boss.
